Seminole High School Band

Thank You for Another Successful Band Golf Tournament

A special Thank You note from Jill McAuley:

First of all we would like to thank all the friends, family, co-workers, family friends and returning supporters that came out Saturday September 14 to support the Seminole High School band at our 4th annual golf fundraiser.  It was a beautiful, hot, fun, full day of golf.   11 foursomes came out and golfed with us.

The First Place Team was: Brian McAuley, John Sceals, Darrin Bigwarfe and Jaime Rodriquez with a score of 62.

The Longest Drive for Women was: Madeline Carter. Madeline is a sophomore and plays the clarinet in the band.

Longest Drive for Men, Closest to the Pin and Beat the Pro: Darrin Bigwarfe, who was the one and only person who beat the pro’s drive on hole 6

We had 16 hole sponsors that we would like to thank:

Thanks to all the volunteers that helped us Saturday:  Jen Polk, Dawne Hube, Susan Sleboda, Donald Kratt, Debbie Landfair, Kim Trawick, Lisa Allen and Cindie Marino.   Thank you to the three students, Peyton Hube, Joel Kratt and Jenna Allen, who got up early on Saturday morning to come out and help after being out late the night before due to an away football game.

Thank you to the businesses who continue to help us year after year.  They are Cork & Olive of Lake Mary, Lake Mary Car Wash, Gator’s Dockside Lake Mary, The Breezeway, Shula’s 347, Dexter’s, Omni Hotel Championsgate, Old Florida National Bank, Tijuana Flats, Advanced eye care, Bucked Up, brunch for 2 at the Marriott in Lake Mary, and the great businesses that provided a Photo gift card, sailing lessons, facials, and pedicures.  The list goes on and on.

Editor’s Note:
A special thanks is in order for Jill McAuley for all she did to organize the golf tournament. Without her tireless efforts this fundraiser would not be a reality. She worked countless volunteer hours to find sponsors, solicit businesses for gifts and giveaways, find a golf course with the best deal for our school, organize volunteers, money, raffles, prizes, etc. She is a force to be reckoned with and the BPA is lucky to have her.
This is one of the bands biggest yearly fundraisers and if not for Jill’s efforts we would never reach our financial goals.
